1/4 cup oil
3 cloves garlic, minced 3 large onions, circle-sliced thinly 1 lb shoulder steak 1 cup semi-dry red wine 1 bay leaf 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and brown for about one minute. Add onion slices; saute for 5 minutes, until translucent.
Place steak in pan. Pour wine over meat, add bay leaf and spices. Cover pan, increase heat to high and bring to a boil.
Lower heat to medium. Cook for 2 - 2 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Remove bay leaf before serving.
